Christians of Deixis still measure time by the Gregorian and Julian calenders, however they've find use about as often as other religious calenders do in our world.
Instead the mainsteam Calender marks the era as 2479 AS [Annos Socrates]
Socrates laid the ground work for the Republic which Plato in turn created. The Academy ruled the republic for it's entire existance.
Aristotle, either directly or as a tutor to a Prince, converted most of modern Sophos and Temenos to the Sophian Republic, down to the desert of the Gods, save the Itzamnian lands [making up a part of the south-eastern border of Sophos].
However upon the death of Aristotle, there was no uniting force between the philosophies and they broke off from eachother. Stoics and Epicureans each founded their own nations, while the Platonists ruled the Republic and a growing number of cynics cast of society as a whole. [Co-inciding with the division of Alexander's Empire]
The Platonists isolated themselves to the south, forming the Minervan Empire while Epicureans and Stoics fought in the north both claiming the title of Sophian Empire. Were was initially a great deal of conflict with the Judiac tribes occupying the region, who offered significantly more resistance than the previously scattered polytheistic tribes. Eventually the Platonists triumphed over the Judaic resistance, but much of their philosophy had been syncreted with the Judaic philosophy, transforming the leading philosophy of the empire to Neo-Platonism with a great number of Christians as well. [Coinciding with the Formation of Rome to Constantine's Conversion]
Eventually, relative tranquility set in. However, for reasons lost to time, speculated by some to be what would have been the birth of a golden age of reason that would have forced them into exile. The creatures of the Imagination soon after rampaged on the civilizations of man. Myticism made a final stand against reason, and Mages split from Philosophers and Priests. Both the Epicureans and the Stoics united themselves under the Banner of the Greater-Sophian Empire and allied with Minerva and Itzamnia. The old Kingdom of Tian is believed to have fought a war in tandem against the same forces. The destruction was great as Mages focused upon destroying sources of knowledge and reason, however eventually they were sealed to the outside of the Fourth Wall. [Decline and destruction of the Roman Empire]
This led to the Darkages which continued for nearly a millenia. Minvera alone managed to rebuild under Christian rule, divided into East and West. The West was lead by the Pope and named itself Santas Sedes. While the East was a loose alliance of various sects. [Duh]
Descartes marks the beginning of the philosophical renaissance. From his ideas are founded the Rational Empire [Imperium Rationalae] north of the Minveran fragments along the eastern border of Sophos. Locke founds Empiricia. Relations between the two are somewhat tense. [Duh]
Protestanism is founded. Tension rise until a visious Thirty year long war of Conversion, this ends in a three way treaty between powers and the formation of Ethos the collapse of the Rational Empire and their eventual dissolution into Empiricia [Now Logos] and Ethos.
Nietszche and Kierkegaard inspire the present Domains to break from the influence of Logos and Ethos. The conflict continues between Ethos and Logos causing them to weaken and allowing various factions in the Domains to declare themselves gradually more independant.
Pathos is founded as a means to bring some law and order to the domains and prevent Ethos and Logosian Expansion.
This brings us roughly to the present world map.
